Nightly County Line Road lane closures continue near Plant City as FDOT builds truck parking facility
FDOT says southbound lane closures on County Line Road between Swindell Road and South Frontage Road will run nightly through Thursday, Oct. 22, while construction continues on a $29.4 million I-4 truck parking facility in Plant City.

What drivers need to know
Drivers using County Line Road near I-4 should expect southbound lane closures between Swindell Road and South Frontage Road tonight and on the next several nights. FDOT says the closure window runs from Sunday, Oct. 18, through Thursday, Oct. 22, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
The work is part of an active construction project, not just a plan. FDOT lists the project phase as construction, says it started Sept. 20, 2025, and puts the estimated completion at late 2026.
What FDOT says is being built
FDOT says it is building a truck parking facility at the southwest corner of the I-4 and County Line Road interchange in Plant City. The agency lists the cost at $29.4 million and says the site covers 49 acres and will add 160 truck parking spaces.
When the project is finished, FDOT says the lot will feed Florida’s truck parking availability system with real-time information through a mobile app and roadside signs. The project page also says the work includes signal changes and travel-lane reconfiguration along County Line Road, and drivers can sign up for email alerts on the page for closure updates.
